    Review: DRMAGDN “Something”

Illustrious drummer/DJ DRMAGDN has recently unveiled his new remix of The Beatles iconic classic “Something” which immediately went viral, and has broken over 1.7 million plays/views internationally. BMG gave DRMAGDN the rights to George Harrison’s song and DRMAGDN preceded along with the vocals of Michelle Ray (The Voice, Season 4) to storm the ramparts of success bringing the song to a new realm.

DRMAGDN (AKA Charlie Z) is it, Drummer, DJ, live electronic music performer, and producer living in the West Village in New York City. He has played the Winter Olympics, Warped Tour, Lollapalooza, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, MetLife Stadium, the Royal Albert Hall, and has worked with The View, MTV, The Today Show, and other notable media. He has toured in 31 countries and 43 states and can be heard on over 250 records. He has appeared on billboard in Times Square, please, and has been inducted into Sick Drummer Hall of Fame. DRMAGDN rights, records and produces all his own tracks and remixes and currently has 3,000,000+ total views on YouTube.

His inspiration for the remix of “Something” “ it’s my favorite Beatles song of all time. So I jumped at the chance to do a modern remix of this song, when BMG acquired George Harrison’s catalog. The musical shoes are literally the biggest in the world to fill, so I had to completely pull out all the stops on this Beatles tribute including nods to the artwork and a truly epic music video.”

DRMAGDN takes the song into another dimension despite that it probably took a little bit of madness to remix this legendary track. However, all living things contain a little bit of madness that moves them in strange, and sometimes inexplicable way. This kind of madness at times brings joy which is an ethereal spark to surprising places. The track brings an enlivening dazzle to the world with an echo of the familiar and the delight of running against the wind….
