Glimpse the Underwater Horrors in the Launch Trailer for Lovecraftian Shooter ‘Beneath’ [Watch]

With their retro-inspired first-person shooter Beneath arriving this week, and piggybacking off of the success during Steam Next Fest, Wired Productions and developer Camel 101 have unveiled the official launch trailer. The new trailer gives players a new look at the underwater horrors that await players in this F.E.A.R.-inspired FPS.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled about the release of Beneath,” say Ricardo and Bruno Cesteiro, the brother-duo behind Camel 101. “Creating this game has been an incredible journey, and we’re excited to finally share what we’ve been working on over the past few years. We hope everyone has as much fun playing it, as we had creating it!”

“Beneath is bringing back the thrill of the golden era of old-school shooters, combining fast-paced action with deep, atmospheric horror,” said Leo Zullo, Managing Director at Wired Productions. It’s a love letter to the classics whilst showcasing what is really possible with a focused and passionate 2-man studio.”

Beneath aims to deliver a Lovecraftian first-person survival horror adventure, blending pulse-pounding action, psychological tension, and atmospheric storytelling. Players take on the role of seasoned diver Noah Quinn, as his routine expedition descends into chaos, trapping him beneath the ocean alongside an ancient, malevolent force. With supplies running low and nightmarish creatures closing in, Noah must confront grotesque mutations, encroaching madness, and a sinister conspiracy threatening humanity itself.

Look for Beneath when it arrives on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG.com on October 27, which includes a limited-time 15% launch discount. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series owners get their hands on the game the following day on October 28.
