Alanah Pearce to Voice Nyra Veyrath in ‘Warhammer 40K: Boltgun II’

A few weeks back, Auroch Digital revealed that Space Marine Malum Caedo (voiced by Rahul Kohli) will have company in the upcoming Warhammer 40K: Boltgun II in the form of a remorseless Sister of Battle in Nyra Veyrath. The devteam has now revealed that Nyra Veyrath will be voiced by Alanah Pearce (Cyberpunk 2077, Gears 5).

Alongside the announcement, Auroch Digital has released an interview with Pearce to talk about Boltgun II, her character, and “why Warhammer is awesome.”

Among the topics covered, Alanah talks about her love of Warhammer, having been a fan since she was 13. “I find Warhammer to be an incredibly fulfilling hobby to be a part of,” says Pearce. “I think Warhammer really stands alone in terms of how varied it is as a franchise. There are so many quality video games, literally hundreds of books from a huge array of talented authors, incredible animations on Warhammer TV, and that’s without even mentioning the tabletop game itself, or the minis! It’s just such a rich, varied franchise, which has been contributed to by so many talented people of such different vocations since before I was even alive.”

As for why she decided to take on the role of Nyra Veyrath, Alanah says that she has “tons of affection” for the ‘boomer shooter’ genre, and enjoyed playing through the first game. “I even played through [Warhammer 40K: Boltgun – Words of Vengeance] a bunch of times because I thought it was such a fun idea, executed so well!”

Warhammer 40K: Boltgun II thrusts players back into the gritty, grimdark world of Warhammer 40K, where humanity faces unending war against the alien, the mutant and the heretic. Dominate the battlefield with an arsenal of formidable weapons and even deadlier abilities in an adrenaline-pumping shootout inspired by the best retro first-person shooters of the ‘90s. Lock in as one of two playable characters, each offering their own unique abilities, weapons, and play style.

From the colossal heights of a hive city to the impenetrable mangrove swamps of a jungle, you’ll need to overcome the challenges of each biome to complete your mission. You’ll battle fan-favourite foes like the Nurglings and Chaos Cultists, as well as all new enemies. The ferocious Bloodletters and their blood-thirsty Juggernauts are just two of the newest enemies you’ll face, with more reveals in the future.

Boltgun II will arrive in 2026 for PC via Steam, PlayStation, 5, and Xbox Series.
