‘Pathologic 3’ Out Now on PC, PlayStation 5; Xbox Series Version Coming January 23 [Trailer]

‘Pathologic 3’ Out Now on PC, PlayStation 5; Xbox Series Version Coming January 23 [Trailer]

Developer Ice-Pick Lodge and publisher HypeTrain Digital’s psychological horror game Pathologic 3 is out now on Steam with a 20% launch discount. And despite previously saying that the PlayStation 5 version of the game would be arriving at a later date, you can grab it today on the PlayStation Store. Xbox Series fans won’t have to wait too long, though. Pathologic 3 will launch on Microsoft’s console on January 23.

Furthermore, if Steam users own Pathologic 2 or Pathologic Classic, you can get an additional 15% off by purchasing the game via one of two bundles.

In Pathologic 3, players once again find themselves in a small, remote town gripped by a mysterious and deadly disease. You play as Daniil Dankovsky, a metropolitan physician who arrives to meet an “immortal” man, but is forced to lead the fight against the epidemic and try to save the city in just 12 days. As a result, you must make ruthless decisions and diagnose with precision.

That involves diagnosing and treating patients based on examinations. You’ll be using a microscope and research pathogens to develop treatments and save your patients. Fight the epidemic by implementing quarantines and deploying patrols to lock down the spread of disease.

New to the series is a time-travel mechanic that allows players to revisit key events and alter them to their advantage. While you still only have 12 days to save the town, this mechanic allows you the freedom to explore and influence events in ways that reshape the unfolding narrative.
