Fanatic Feed: The Testaments, The Boys Trailers, & More!

There has been a flurry of exciting announcements from the world of TV today, Thursday, March 5, 2026, and TV Fanatic is rounding them all up.

We’re fanatical about TV, so it only makes sense that we get the word out there.

If you thought that Gilead was a distant memory after The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6, you have another thing coming.

Hulu dropped the official trailer for The Testaments on Thursday, and it features some big links to the mothership.

Ann Dowd’s wicked Aunt Lydia is still a part of the narrative, for better or worse, for a story that follows an aged-up Agnes, aka Hannah.

Yes, that’s June and Luke’s daughter.

The trailer wastes no time in telling us that, despite what The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 Episode 10 indicated, Gilead is still in fighting form, which is bad news for everyone.

The good news is that many people are still trying to dismantle Gilead from the inside.

The footage of The Testaments Season 1 showcases a different entry in this universe. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out and if it holds a candle to its award-winning predecessor.

The Testaments premieres April 8 on Hulu. Check out the trailer below.

Elsewhere in the streaming world, Prime Video has released the trailer for The Boys Season 5, marking the end of the R-rated superhero drama.

“In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a Freedom Camp,” teases the logline for the show’s last hurrah.

“Annie struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found,” the ominous teaser continues.

“But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it.”

“It’s the climax, people. Big stuff’s gonna happen,” Prime Video’s description concludes.

Yeah, we want the big stuff, but we also want that Supernatural cast reunion we’ve been promised for months.

Thankfully, we get a glimpse of it in the trailer. Woohoo!

The Boys Season 5 premieres April 8 with a two-episode drop. One new episode will air each week leading up to the “unforgettable series finale” on May 20, 2026.

Meanwhile, Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2.

The Jon Hamm-fronted series is poised to be bolder as Andrew Cooper “doubles down on his life as an unlikely suburban thief.”

However, things go awry when a new neighbor arrives and “threatens to expose his secrets and place his family at risk.”

Your Friends & Neighbors Season 1 was bursting at the seams with stakes for Andrew, but how far will he go to keep his secret buried?

Since Apple TV+ has already confirmed a Season 3 renewal, it sure sounds like we’re in for another banner season.

Hamm has got to be one of TV’s most enduring actors. Everything he touches becomes a hit. That takes skill.

Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 premieres on Friday, April 3, and will air one episode a week through Friday, June 5.

Okay, TV Fanatics! It’s time to hear from YOU.

Which of the above shows are you most excited about? Are you happy that all of them are unspooling weekly?

We sure are. Binge drops get lost in the shuffle.

TV Fanatic runs on caffeine, cats, and your support.
Comment if you’re still watching. Share if you want others to know this show even exists. We appreciate you either way — truly.
