Anderson Cooper is known for his political commentary and journalism, while getting right in the middle of it. He also spent two decades on 60 Minutes, but just departed, plus he co-hosts New Year’s Eve with Anderson Cooper. However, he just took over for late-night host Jimmy Fallon at the last minute to conduct an iconic interview. So, what happened and who was it with? Keep reading for more details.
Anderson Cooper Jumps In For Fallon
For decades, viewers have known Anderson Cooper as a political commentator and journalist. He has been so well-respected, and fans appreciate how humble he is and always has been. Moreover, he has no problem getting his hands dirty to deliver the hard-hitting stories. Aside from CNN, Anderson worked on 60 Minutes for twenty years but allegedly left to spend time with his two sons. He loves being a father as he gained that title later on in life. The other side of Anderson is quirky, which Andy Cohen has helped to bring out.

Recently, Jimmy Fallon was said to be interviewing the icon that is Madonna. She was premiering her Confessions II at the Tribeca Film Festival, which was somewhat of a star-studded event. Sabrina Carpenter, Benedict Cumberbatch, Gwendoline Christie, Kate Moss, and Richard E. Grant all made appearances in it. The interview would take place on stage amid the premiere, but on the night of the event, Fallon was no longer the moderator. Rather, Anderson Cooper stepped in, and there is no reason as of yet why this happened.
A lot was discussed during the interview, including Madonna’s forthcoming biopic. Julia Garner is set to play the musical genius, and she was also in Confessions II. The short film will go along with the new music Madonna is releasing. As for the short film, it is coming out on YouTube on Monday, June 8th.
No Love Lost
Allegedly, not having Jimmy Fallon was a good thing for Madonna fans. They seemed thrilled to have Anderson Cooper in his place as social media went wild with this news:

It would be interesting to actually get to see the crowd’s reaction when Anderson was announced. Moreover, to see him interact with Madonna would also be a treat. Regardless, this seems like a perfect choice for the occasion.
