Primavera Sound attendees got a whole lot more than the bargained for Saturday (June 6) in Barcelona, when Olivia Rodrigo not only delivered an unannounced set but welcomed the Cure’s Robert Smith for the debut of their upcoming collaboration, “what’s wrong with me.”

Rodrigo’s appearance was revealed on social media earlier in the day and followed the Cure’s own headlining performance at Primavera. Seven songs in, she prepped the crowd for what was to come by revealing, “this song is special to me for many reasons, but primarily because this is my first song I’ve ever done a feature with somebody. I am just so proud of it and I’m so glad this song exists. I’m just so fucking over the moon, so I thought I’d let you guys hear it.”

Rodrigo then welcomed Smith to sing the second chorus of “what’s wrong with me,” which will be included on her upcoming album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. See fan-shot video above. Smith previewed the collaboration in a recent British Vogue interview, revealing that [Rodrigo] “calls me up quite a bit to talk about clothes and fashion — and we have enjoyed a couple of memorable nights in the studio together,” he said.

The artists previously teamed up at the 2025 Glastonbury festival, when Rodrigo welcomed Smith to duet on his band’s classics “Friday I’m in Love” and “Just Like Heaven.”
