Jason Actor Steve Burton Teams up With General Hospital Star for New Holiday Movie

General Hospital star Steve Burton is collaborating with another co-star on an upcoming holiday movie. The details about the release date, storyline, and the title of the movie remain undisclosed. However, it’s said to be a “holiday whodunit” romantic mystery under the banner of the company behind the award-winning Netflix series Ozark.

General Hospital’s Bradford Anderson and Steve Burton team up for new movie

Burton and Bradford Anderson will be creating and starring in a holiday movie, produced by Zero Gravity Management. The movie is described as “quick-witted comedy, holiday romance, and a playful whodunit, that follows two unlikely partners as they stumble into a mystery in a charming small town at Christmas.” They are joined by Stacy Asencio-Sutphen for writing the script.

Anderson expressed his gratitude for the love and support from fans in a recent statement. He regarded them as the best fans in the world. He then added that, as actors, they constantly ask themselves how they can entertain their fans more. “When we came up with this idea for a series of holiday films, we knew we had something special,” he added.

According to Stone Cold and the Jackal’s Instagram account, the makers are still figuring out a way to fund and distribute the movie. Currently, they are looking for two female leads who would star opposite the GH co-stars. “At present, the film is being considered the first entry in a franchise of annual romantic mysteries,” the post added.

This news also comes amid Burton’s tenure at GH, which was revealed recently. The details came out in court documents of his ongoing custody battle with his ex-wife, Sheree Gustin. It’s learnt that he signed a three-year contract with the show in June after briefly being on a break a few months back. For those unfamiliar, in February 2026, Burton said that he’s taking a hiatus from GH as he’s newly married and wants to spend time with family. He last appeared in March 2026 on GH before returning to the roster in July.
