Donna Kelce Denies Offensive Posts Are Really From Son Travis

Donna Kelce is jumping to her son Travis Kelce‘s defense after he was accused of making offensive comments in resurfaced social media posts.

“Not Travis’ handle and not his account!!” Donna, 74, replied via X on Saturday, October 17, after a fan tagged her in a tweet with some of the controversial posts.

Multiple media outlets shared now-deleted messages that allegedly appeared on the X account “tkelce” between 2009 and 2011. The New York Times previously reported in 2023 that the tweets were independently verified by Snopes, a website that debunks internet rumors.

“As a man, You have something wrong with you if your going for girls that weigh more then you!” one 2010 message purportedly read, while another allegedly mocked women’s curves: “hahaha why cant girls hide they backfat? that s***s nasty!!!”

Cooper Neill/Getty Images Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, is not used to getting so much attention — but she’s ready to shake off any haters that come her way. As romance rumors continue to swirl about Travis, 33, and Taylor Swift, Donna, 70, has also been thrust into the spotlight. Earlier this month, she made […]

A 2011 tweet allegedly suggested that aspiring cheerleaders “pass a beauty test” because “there’s too many ugly cheerleaders out here.” Another from 2011 allegedly uses an ableist slur while a 2009 message allegedly refers to someone as “a fat prick with some homo tendencies.”

Us has reached out to Travis’ representatives for comment.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 37, landed in some hot water earlier this week when he “liked” a video of comedian Shane Gillis‘ divisive monologue on Saturday Night Live from last weekend. In the extended standup routine, Gillis, 38, raised the ire of some viewers for seemingly shaming the way some women dress at the gym.

“I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t realize women just dressed like whores now,” Gillis said. “Look, I’m sorry, there’s no other way to describe [it]. Have you seen it? I’ve seen it. You’ve seen the shorts? They’re those neon, like, artificial bait-colored [shorts], and the wrinkles go around the cheeks and all combine at the butthole. And don’t look! You’re not allowed to look. For real, don’t look because they are filming. I’m in the background of about 10 TikToks right now.”

Gillis’ monologue was condemned as sexist by numerous viewers and multiple celebrities, including former SNL cast member Ego Nwodim and Schitt’s Creek actor Dan Levy.

“Women wearing short shorts to the gym does not make them whores,” Levy, 43, stressed via his Instagram Story on Sunday, October 11. “It makes the men calling them whores misogynists. There’s a difference there.”

He pointed out that he’d “seen more men’s nipples at the gym than I’ve ever seen women showing their bodies off.”

“I’m speechless that something like that can exist on live national television,” Levy admitted. “And to be perfectly honest, more men need to be standing up in opposition to it because it’s complacency that has created the environment [in] which women are sexually assaulted, and it’s a conversation as opposed to a crime.”

The actor went on to say, “This is not a women’s issue. This is an everybody issue, because the more that men objectify women in the media, the more that other men see them as objects and treat them as objects. They are not objects. They are superior human beings to men, OK? And I’m sorry if this gets me in trouble with the internet, but f***.”

Travis has not responded to criticism he received for “liking” a clip of Gillis’ SNL monologue.
