Netflix has shared early details about Bridgerton Season 6 ahead of its Season 5 premiere. The update also gives fans a potential release window for the beloved show. The development confirms that work on the sixth season has already begun.
What’s on Netflix recently confirmed that writers are already working on Bridgerton Season 6. The source added that the sixth season will reportedly center on the romance between fan-favorite character Eloise Bridgerton and Sir Phillip Crane. The potential release window for Season 6 is reportedly late 2028 to early 2029. However, Netflix has not officially confirmed these details.
In a now-deleted TikTok post, the writers’ assistant Fiona Kida revealed, “We’ve kicked off working on Eloise’s next season and are re-reading the books to prep and see where we left characters off.”
Kida continued, “I took the first set of the notes today, which is really fun in the blue sky phase because everyone is just pitching all these big ideas. The other writer’s assistant then took over, and I pitched some things I thought might be cool to see too.”
What Eloise Bridgerton’s Season 6 story could look like
Eloise Bridgerton’s Season 6 story will be based on Julia Quinn‘s fifth novel, To Sir Phillip, With Love. According to the book’s description, after Marina Thompson’s death, Eloise sends her condolences to Sir Phillip Crane and eventually begins exchanging letters with him.
After much thought, Eloise hires a carriage in the middle of the night and sets off to meet the man she has written to for over a year. However, to her surprise, he isn’t who she expected, as Crane turns out to be moody, ill-mannered, and the father of two young, unruly children.
In the show, Claudia Jessie portrays Eloise in Season 1. Chris Fulton briefly played Crane in Seasons 1 and 2. However, Fulton’s return in Season 6 is also unconfirmed.
Jessie will next appear in the franchise’s upcoming Season 5 as a supporting character. Season 5 follows Francesca Bridgerton and Michaela Stirling. It is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2027.
