How Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Will Spend Christmas 2026

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are firming up their Christmas plans following their return to the U.K.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to spend both Thanksgiving next month and Christmas in December with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, according to reports published by the U.K.’s Sunday Times newspaper and People on Sunday, October 11.

The location of the family’s holiday festivities is reportedly up to Ragland, 70, who resides in California, but People notes that the Sussexes will “likely” travel to the U.S. for the holidays with their two children.

Us understands that no firm plans have been made at this stage.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially crossed the pond after six years in California — and they’re giving fans a peek at their new chapter. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated from Montecito, California, to the United Kingdom in late August 2026 with children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in tow. News broke […]

Harry, 42, and Meghan, 45, are not expected to spend Christmas with the royal family, including Harry’s father, King Charles III, per the reports, despite their return to the U.K. in August.

The royal family usually spends Christmas at the king’s country retreat, Sandringham, in Norfolk.

Harry and Meghan moved back to the U.K. in August after six years in Montecito, California, with the Sunday Times reporting that they are “happy and settled” outside of London with their son, Prince Archie, 7, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, 5.

Harry and Meghan enrolled the children in a British school for the first time ahead of the start of the academic year in September.

A royal expert is shedding light on how Prince William and Kate Middleton are likely reacting to the news that their estranged family members Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving back to the U.K. “All I can think of is: here we go again,” Brothers and Wives author Christopher Andersen exclusively tells Us. “For […]

Days after the children started school, news broke that they had changed schools due to security concerns.

“The decision for the children to move school was taken following a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements,” a rep for the couple told Hello! in a statement last month. “The parents remain extremely grateful to all the teachers and staff for the love, care and effort they have shown their family.”

“This decision should in no way be interpreted as a reflection on the school or the exceptional care the children have received there,” the statement continued.

“There is a world of difference between legitimate media activity and photographers walking the perimeter of a school, stopping to look into the grounds and monitoring children as they go about their day,” a spokesperson for the couple told Us, adding that it was “concerning” how paparazzi seemed “unwilling to respect the privacy of children at school.”

The rep continued, “To behave in this manner in these particular circumstances, and so soon after the incident at RAF Fairford, demonstrates an extraordinary lack of judgment. Whatever photographs they may have been seeking, this was not only an unacceptable intrusion into the privacy of children; it was an irresponsible and ill-considered way to conduct themselves in the vicinity of a school.”
