Apple TV’s new TV and movie releases for the week of October 12-18 include Tenzing and Slow Horses‘ new episode, among others.
Directed by Jennifer Peedom, Tenzing is a biographical drama film. It covers the extraordinary journey of Nepalese-Indian Sherpa Tenzing and New Zealand mountaineer Edmund Hillary to Mount Everest. The star cast features Genden Phuntsok, Tom Hiddleston, Willem Dafoe, Caitríona Balfe, and Thinley Lhamo, among others, in key roles.
Tenzing Norgay’s son, Norbu Tenzing, expressed excitement about his father’s story being told on the big screen. “The story of the man behind the mask will finally come out,” he told Climbing. Norbu continued, “He put the name Sherpa in the English dictionary, and gave it its currency that it holds today. Sherpa identity is based on who he was, so this film is really important. On a global scale, people will finally know who this son of a yak herder from Tibet was.”
Also coming to Apple TV is Slow Horses Season 6, Episode 5. In the previous episode, we saw Lamb trying to find out who Frank is working for. Moreover, Sid, Coe, and River do everything to escape the hit squad. The upcoming episode will witness River going after Sid while Lamb ends up setting his sights on Cantor. On the other hand, Taverner moves ahead with a treacherous deal.
