Alt rock icons Sublime will hit the high seas this November, subbing out their tour buses for a celebratory journey on the Norwegian Jewel. The Long Beach legends’ Reef Madness Cruise sets sail from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas on November 15-19 and for fans still thinking about attending, the time is now to book your four-night voyage.
Equal parts music festival, tropical vacation, and fan convention, the November excursion promises to be one of the year’s most unique live music experiences. Naturally, Sublime will be at the center of it all.
The timing couldn’t be better. The band has already had an active 2026. The trio dropped Until the Sun Explodes, its first studio album in 30 years, on June 12. And Sublime’s latest is a resounding success. The title track and its preceding single “Ensenada” both topped the U.S. Alternative charts. The latter also earned “Alternative Song of the Year” honors at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards.
As fans are keenly aware, Jakob Nowell has stepped into the frontman/guitarist role once held by his late father, Bradley Nowell. And Sublime is, of course, rounded out by founding members Eric Wilson (bass) and Bud Gaugh (drums). The group continues to be a massive concert draw and is currently in the midst of a widely-acclaimed run of North American headlining dates and festival shows.
“We have had the most amazing and busy year touring and recording,” Gaugh says. “I am really looking forward to wrapping up the year with a vacation style show, with all our friends and family on a cruise ship to the Bahamas.”
Sublime’s Reef Madness Cruise serves as both a nod to the band’s many achievements to date and a look toward its future. Two planned poolside performances will offer fans a rare opportunity to experience both sides of the band’s legacy over the course of a single weekend.
These exclusive deck sets will include a very special performance commemorating the 30th anniversary of Sublime’s landmark self-titled album, which dropped on July 30, 1996 and earned a Diamond certification from the RIAA last Friday for 10 million copies sold. A separate greatest hits show packed with classics like “Santeria,” “What I Got” and “”Wrong Way” will exemplify how the group helped define an era of punk, reggae, ska, and hip-hop.
But Reef Madness isn’t built around just one act.
The lineup stretches across reggae, alternative, hip-hop, Americana, and Southern rock. The cruise counts performances from SOJA, Yelawolf, The Elovaters, Common Kings, Fortunate Youth, DENM, Amigo the Devil, G. Love, Long Beach Dub Allstars, The Altons, honestav, Cisco Adler, Codefendants, Wheeland Brothers and DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill.
Dozens of additional artists, DJs, personalities and tattoo artists will also be aboard, keeping the ship buzzing from morning to night. Artist and tattooist Opie Ortiz, who doubles as the singer in Long Beach Dub Allstars, will be among the cruise notables.
Ortiz created Bradley Nowell’s legendary upper back tattoo for the cover of Sublime and the flower design surrounding it. He also did the burning sun artwork for 40 Oz. To Freedom cover and designed the cover of Until the Sun Explodes.
