Jelly Roll shocked everyone when he filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie Xo, after nearly a decade. This happened in May 2026 but was not made public until June. Now, Jelly is taking on a new career amid the split, but what is he up to now? Keep reading for all of the details.
Jelly Roll Has A New Career Amid Divorce
It has just been a short time since Jelly Roll’s divorce from Bunnie Xo became public. She has spoken up about what happened and what went wrong. Fans have had many theories about it and the couple. Many do not think that they will stay over for long and that this is actually the end. However, he is allegedly back on the dating scene, but she is staying single for the foreseeable future. Despite that, they are both staying very busy, with Jelly taking on a new career in the meantime.

He has been tapped to host Jimmy Kimmel Live over the summer. Jimmy Kimmel will be taking two months off, so he needed to find guest hosts to replace him for the time being. In the past, Jelly has taken over for two episodes, and it seems that he did pretty well, as he is being welcomed back. This announcement was made on the Thursday, June 18th episode, where Kimmel shared who would be taking over while he is away:
“We have assembled a potent group of hosts to fill in for me. “Beginning with Tiffany Haddish, Coleman Domingo, Ike Barinholtz, Anthony Anderson, Jelly Roll — and as a special treat for our commander-in-chief, I asked one of his all-time favorites Rosie O’Donnell to be here to keep the hooks coming.”
Jelly Roll has already shifted away from music, as he tried his hand at comedy. Additionally, he played the role of a bear named Grizz in the movie GOAT, so he has been expanding in many ways.
Bad Move For Kimmel
Fans of Jimmy Kimmel are not happy with the choice to have Jelly Roll host the show. The Antioch, Tennessee, native has been slammed for some of his beliefs and behaviors. Moreover, followers feel he is the reason that Post Malone had low ticket sales and had to postpone their joint tour. Fans are not so keen on seeing Jelly anymore, and he may be a hindrance to the shows. The same goes for Jimmy Kimmel Live:
- First nail in the coffin for this show.
- I will pass on that 100%
Of course, many are very happy that Kimmel will get to have time off and be with his family. It will be interesting to see how Jelly Roll does when he is back as the host again.
