Ghost Announce New Big-Screen Film 2 Big To Rig

Ghost have announced a new feature film titled 2 Big To Rig that is set to hit cinemas and IMAX screens on August 26th via Trafalgar Releasing.

The film captures the final two nights of Ghost’s “Skeletour” at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes, in support of the band’s most recent album, SKELETÁ.

2 Big To Rig is focused on a cinematic presentation of the stage show that Ghost developed for “Skeletour,” their most elaborate production yet. The tour was logistically unable to travel the world beyond North and South America plus Europe and additionally allowed no phones in the venue proper, making a film like 2 Big To Rig a means of sharing the show with those unable to attend during its initial run.

While their previous film Rite Here Rite Now, also a Trafalgar Releasing collaboration, combined concert footage with theatrical elements extending the short films the band had been releasing for some time deepening the narrative aspect of the band, 2 Big to Rig focuses solely on the concert itself and its overall production.

Kimberly Freuh of Trafalgar Releasing stated, “Ghost captured the final nights of the legendary Skeletour’s first leg on 16mm film in Mexico City — creating a nostalgic experience and a fitting farewell to an era for fans. We’re proud to share it with cinema audiences worldwide before GHOST takes a well-publicized break. It’s the perfect way to close such a significant chapter in the band’s history and give fans a chance to relive this moment together.”

Tickets officially go on sale on July 23rd with screenings beginning August 26th for a limited time only. Precise theatrical debut dates may vary by region. Complete showing information will be available at 2BigToRig.com on July 23rd.

Ghost were recently announced to be part of the soundtrack on the upcoming Stage Tour video game, the successor to games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

Consequence named SKELETÁ one of the best hard rock & heavy metal albums of 2025, and interviewed band mastermind Tobias Forge for a cover story centering on the album.
