Influencer Sydney Towle Enters Hospice Amid Cancer Battle

Influencer Sydney Towle’s brother, Austin Towle, is sharing an update on her health amid her battle with cancer.

“Sydney has been moved to hospice and is surrounded by her friends and family,” Austin, 29, wrote via TikTok on Tuesday, August 4, over a photo of his family standing next to a hospital bed while holding stuffed animals. “Thank you for all your love and support.”

In the caption, Austin added, “Thank you all so much. Your love and support does not go unnoticed.”

Austin has shared frequent updates on his sister via his TikTok account, which boasts more than 88,000 followers. Last month, he shared that Sydney had been “doing OK” and went for a walk during her hospital stay.

In a comment on another video, Austin slammed trolls who criticized his sister’s appearance.

“Hi all – please keep comments respectful,” he wrote. “Comments about my sister’s appearance or demeanor are completely inappropriate and unnecessary. Additionally, you are not owed any updates and should not feel it’s OK to be asking for updates. Thanks!”

Sydney was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare form of bile duct cancer, at age 23. She underwent multiple treatments, including chemotherapy and major liver surgery. Sydney has documented her health battle via social media along the way, sharing updates on TikTok, where she has more than 1 million followers.

Most recently, Sydney documented her journey as she prepared to enter the next phase of a clinical trial involving tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy. She spent more than one month in the hospital, where she shared multiple videos.

Despite her health challenges, the content creator has remained positive. In one recent post, Sydney recorded herself in a hospital bed as she duetted an older video of herself telling fans, “It’s a great day to have a great day. So have a great day.”

In the caption, Sydney added, “Period.”

Courtesy of Bailey Hutchins/Instagram TikTok star Bailey Hutchins has died at age 26 after a two-year cancer battle. Bailey’s husband, Caden Hutchins, announced her death in an Instagram statement on Saturday, February 8, writing, “I’m devastated to say that my Bailey B has passed away last night. She fought such a tough incredible fight these […]

In another video, she explained, “People always ask why I’m so positive, and it’s like, why would I not envision the best-case scenario, the best way of things working out? The alternative is to not do that and to just be sad.”

However, Sydney admitted that she sometimes struggles to read comments about her prognosis.

“I won’t lie, the comments sometimes really get to me when I see them saying like, ‘She has days left,’ or just sad things like that,” she continued. “It’s hard to read stuff like that about yourself. But then I’m like, why would I let that ruin my optimism or my hope? Because ultimately, it’s my life, and if I believe that things will work out and be good, that’s my choice, even if that doesn’t happen to be true.”
