Jennifer Lopez’s Raunchy R-Rated Comedy Has Taken Over Streaming by a Storm

Jennifer Lopez’s latest Netflix comedy, Office Romance, is drawing huge viewing numbers despite mixed reviews. The R-rated workplace rom-com has climbed to the top of Netflix’s U.S. movie chart. While critics remain divided, the film’s strong streaming performance has quickly turned it into one of the platform’s biggest current hits.

Jennifer Lopez’s Office Romance is Netflix’s biggest streaming movie right now

Netflix viewers have pushed Office Romance to the No. 1 spot on the platform’s U.S. Top 10 movie rankings as of June 7, 2026 (via Flix Patrol). The comedy sits ahead of titles including Fast Charlie, David, Murder of Rachel Nickell, and Goat, giving Jennifer Lopez another major streaming success.

The film follows Jackie Cruz, the CEO of AirCruz, an airline company, who enforces a strict no-dating policy in the workplace. Things become complicated when she develops feelings for Daniel Blanchflower, a lawyer who has recently joined the company. The story centers on their secret relationship and the problems that arise when two career-focused professionals start putting their hearts ahead of company rules.

Lopez stars alongside Brett Goldstein, who is best known for playing Roy Kent on Ted Lasso. Goldstein also co-wrote the movie and serves as one of its producers. The production team includes Lopez, Benny Medina, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Andrew Swett, Aaron Ryder, and Joe Kelly, while Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again filmmaker Ol Parker directed the project.

The supporting cast features Betty Gilpin as Sydney Bloom, Jackie’s trusted colleague, Edward James Olmos as AirCruz founder Captain Jack Cruz, Tony Hale as the company’s overwhelmed HR director George Dudek, and Jodie Whittaker as Daniel’s sister Lizzy. Familiar faces such as Mary Wiseman and Tony Plana also appear in key supporting roles.

While the movie has become a streaming winner, critical and audience reactions have been far less enthusiastic. The film currently holds a 51% Tomatometer score and a 50% Popcornmeter rating on Rotten Tomatoes, alongside an IMDb score of 6.0/10. Even so, its rapid rise to the top of Netflix’s charts suggests many viewers are willing to judge the romantic comedy for themselves.
