Vermintide 2 fans won’t have to wait very long for the next DLC, as Fatshark has dropped a few new hints on the upcoming free DLC in “Chaos Wastes” that lands April 20th on Steam. The new update will add a “rogue-lite inspired” game mode, which will no doubt please those players looking for more challenge.
The new mode will not only test your mettle in the challenge department, but also feature a rotating series of maps (15 unique areas in all), meaning that your strategies will constantly need to adapt and change. In addition, as you explore, you’ll also encounter areas that have been cursed. As a result, you’ll need to switch your tactics to eliminate the boss of that area in order to lift the curse. Doing so will also earn you extra rewards.
No word on when the update will be headed to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, though the update is scheduled to arrive “as soon as possible.”
