The late Kyle Busch was married to wife Samantha Busch (née Sarcinella) for more than a decade prior to his shocking death.
Samantha has yet to speak out following her husband’s death on Thursday, May 21, at age 41. However, the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and NASCAR released a joint statement remembering the racing legend.
“Our entire NASCAR family is heartbroken by the loss of Kyle Busch,” the statement began. “A future Hall of Famer, Kyle was a rare talent, one who comes along once in a generation. He was fierce, he was passionate, he was immensely skilled and he cared deeply about the sport and fans.”
The statement continued, “Throughout a career that spanned more than two decades, Kyle set records in national series wins, won championships at NASCAR’s highest level and fostered the next generation of drivers as an owner in the Truck Series.”
Kyle was remembered as someone with “sharp wit and competitive spirit” who created “a deep emotional connection with race fans” throughout his lengthy career.
The statement concluded, “NASCAR lost a giant of the sport today, far too soon.”

Samantha was in college when the model agency she was working for sent her to a race in Indianapolis.
“I remember it being crazy hot out, so when a nice lady came to me when my line was done and asked if I wanted to go for a ride, the thought of AC had me running before even registering going fast,” she captioned a 2023 Instagram post. “Now, to tell Kyle’s side of the story, he saw me from afar and asked his pr lady to ask if I wanted a ride!”
Eventually Kyle got someone to ask for her phone number. The couple wed on New Year’s Eve in 2010.

“So my hair has been falling out significantly now for a good month. It’s not breakage but coming out at the root (I can see the little bulb still attached when it’s all over the bathroom floor),” she shared via Facebook at the time. “I’ve had multiple blood tests done — hormones, thyroid and iron, the common ones for hair loss checked out fine.”
She added, “My iron, vitamin D and creatinine levels were high, but not to the point that they think it’s the cause for the sudden onset of shedding. It’s also not localized like a spot or at my part line but is an all-over thinning.”
