Don’t Forget, Henry Cavill’s New Action Movie Releases This Week

One of the most highly anticipated action-comedy movies of 2026, featuring Henry Cavill, hits theaters this week. The acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie is the writer and director, bringing his signature blend of stylish, fast-paced action to the big screen once again.

Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal’s In the Grey is finally releasing this week

In the Grey hits theaters on Friday, May 15, 2026. The movie’s distributor, Black Bear Pictures, released a trailer earlier this year, showcasing a fun, high-octane ride.

It stars Henry Cavill as Sid, Jake Gyllenhaal as Bronco, and Eiza González as Rachel Wild in the lead roles. All three actors have previously collaborated with Guy Ritchie, making this a familiar ensemble. They are joined by Rosamund Pike, Kristofer Hivju, Jason Wong, Kojo Attah, and Karlos Klaumannsmoller, among others.

In the Grey follows a covert team of high-skilled operatives as they operate in the shadows. But when a ruthless despot steals billions, they are sent on a dangerous mission to retrieve the money at any cost. Unknown to the trio, they are diving into a conspiracy far worse than they had imagined.

Ritchie also serves as a co-producer along with John Friedberg, Dave Caplan, and Ivan Atkinson. Meanwhile, Black Bear Pictures is handling In the Grey’s distribution.

Initially, Lionsgate signed on to distribute the movie in the United States, targeting a January 2025 release. But due to production delays, Lionsgate pulled the movie from its lineup (via Deadline). When Black Bear (primarily a UK distributor) established a U.S. division, it opted to distribute the movie.

After In the Grey, Guy Ritchie’s lineup includes a black comedy, Wife & Dog, with Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike, and Anthony Hopkins in the lead. It is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026. It will be followed by a crime drama, Viva La Madness, starring Jason Statham and Jason Isaacs.
