5 Fan-Favorite Sylvester Stallone Movies Arrive on Netflix Today

Five iconic movies starring Sylvester Stallone have officially found a new streaming home. These movies are part of Stallone’s beloved sports drama franchise, which currently has a combined gross of over $1.9 billion.

What Sylvester Stallone movies are now on Netflix?

As of today, 1976’s Rocky, 1982’s Rocky III, 1985’s Rocky IV, 1990’s Rocky V, and 2006’s Rocky Balboa are finally available to stream on Netflix. The franchise begins with Rocky Balboa, a small-time boxer from Philadelphia who gets the chance to fight against world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, played by the late Carl Weathers.

These movies were all written by Stallone, with the first installment scoring him multiple Oscar nominations, including Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay. The ensemble cast also included Talia Shire, Burt Young, Burgess Meredith, Mr. T, Dolph Lundgren, Tommy Morrison, Antonio Tarver, Tony Burton, and more.

“Rocky Balboa, a small-time boxer from working-class Philadelphia, is arbitrarily chosen to take on the reigning world heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed, when the undefeated fighter’s scheduled opponent is injured,” reads the synopsis for Rocky. “While training with feisty former bantamweight contender Mickey Goldmill, Rocky tentatively begins a relationship with Adrian, the wallflower sister of his meat-packer pal Paulie.”

At the moment, Amazon MGM Studios is producing a movie about the making of Rocky. Titled I Play Rocky, the movie is directed by Peter Farrelly, with Anthony Ippolito portraying the role of a 29-year-old Sylvester Stallone. He will be joined by Stephan James, AnnaSophia Robb, Matt Dillon, P.J. Byrne, Tracy Letts, and Jay Duplass. It will debut on November 13, 2026, just in time for the movie’s 50th anniversary celebration.
