Silvertomb, the band led by singer-guitarist Kenny Hickey drummer and Johnny Kelly, each formerly of both Type O Negative and Danzig, have announced their sophomore album, The Interpretation of Nightmares, due out November 13th. They’ve also unleashed the lead single, “No Way to Live.”
In addition to Hickey and Kelly, the band features guitarist Joe James (ex-Agnostic Front), bassist Hank Hell (Sheer Terror), and guitarist-keyboardist Aaron Joos.
The Interpretation of Nightmares marks the follow-up to the band’s 2019 debut Edge of Existence.
As for the seven-year gap between albums, Hickey explained, “Just as things were really beginning to take off for Silvertomb, our hands were suddenly tied for a number of years due to the pandemic and its long-lasting aftermath; on top of that, I had a drinking problem that urgently needed sorting out.”
“No Way to Live” features Hickey singing over doomy riffs, with James delivering a nifty guitar solo beginning at the three-minute mark.
