Multiple seasons of the long-running CBS show NCIS are coming to Netflix very soon. NCIS first aired in September 2003 and became a huge success for the network. Over the years, the show has produced seven spin-offs, including prequels.
Multiple seasons of NCIS to stream on Netflix next month
According to a report by What’s On Netflix, multiple seasons of the show NCIS have found a streaming home on Netflix. The seasons are set to arrive on the platform on October 1, though the report does not specify which ones.
NCIS has been one of CBS’s top shows since it premiered in 2003. The network recently renewed the show for a 24th season in January. Season 23 wrapped up in May, and fans won’t have to wait long for the next season, which drops on October 6.
Showrunner Steven D. Binder spoke to Parade Magazine in May and commented on what producers are trying to set up for the upcoming season. Binder suggested they wanted to shed light on Naomi Grace’s Kayla Vance and the events that follow after losing her father, Director Leon Vance, played by Rocky Carroll. He stated, “We wanted to really, really play out the family dynamic after losing her father, but we wanted to do it in a way where there could be some closure that comes from it. The other thing we wanted to do was set some things up for Season 24 that left the audience going, ‘What the hell just happened?’”
Season 24 will also feature the return of Michael Weatherly as Tony DiNozzo. Moreover, it has been revealed that Weatherly will have a season-long arc.
Binder spoke with TV Insider about Weatherly’s return and said Tony decides to reconnect with his old friends and pay a visit after “an old contact of Tony’s picks up some chatter involving NCIS.”
